Just How Stupid Can You Be!

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about a local radio station looking to replace a conservative DJ. This DJ left and moved to San Diego to work for a larger radio station.

In that post I said lets draft Simon Conway to be the new local conservative DJ here in West Tennessee. The DJ that left was followed each day by the syndicated programs Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

I told Simon about the job and he told me the timing was perfect. He has sold his house and can move on a moment's notice. He does lots of radio mainly by filling in for high profile conservative DJ's like Doc Thompson and Jod Pags. To put it as plain as I can, Simon was by far the best man for the job!

Simon had his agent contact the station and indicate his interest in the job. I lobbied for Simon and told many of the radio station clients in my area about Simon and his willingness to relocate.

The sales manager for the station came in my office today and told me he had good news and bad news for me. First the bad news, they did not hire Simon but they did hire a guy who once interviewed by the departed DJ. I asked about what radio stations he has worked at and also asked for some info to listen to some podcasts he has made. "Well he hasn't made any podcasts and doesn't work in radio right now", the manager told me but he is conservative and he is local. He gave me his name and I haven't heard of him. I Googled him and he did not make the top ten pages. This guy must be very local and very cheap!

To make matters worse, this sales manager handed me a rate sheet and wants me to help introduce this guy to the listening audience.The rates will only last a few weeks he said and I suspect he is right.

Simon, I know without a shadow of a doubt you are the right man for this job but if they are too stupid to realize it then I don't know that there is anything else for me to do except:

Write this blog and let every conservative person out there in America know that at this instant there is a highly qualified conservative DJ available to take to the airwaves in your area in defense of our freedoms and liberties that are slowly quickly going away.

Please let Simon know of any openings in conservative talk radio that you know of. I only wish Simon was coming here to the west Tennessee area but who knows he still might!
