The Addison Airport in Addison, Texas is home to one of the busiest single-runway general aviation airports in the region and is now the third largest general aviation airport in the country. With a runway of 7,200 feet and 750+ based aircraft, the airport averages 366 operations per day. There is also considerable commerical activity, including several hangar/office complexes. The airport is also home to the Cavanaugh Flight Museum.

Just west of Addison Road, at the eastern gateway to the big, blue Arapaho Bridge, there is a half-mile trail featuring three large mounds that are perfect for viewing airplanes landing or taking off from Addison Airport.
