Love Note From an Addison Police Officer.
One of the many things I love about Addison, Texas is the caring Town employees. Yesterday morning, while I worked from my
home office at the front of the house, I watched as an Addison police officer left his car and walked up my neighbor's driveway. He placed a slip of paper under the windshield wiper blade. Then, instead of returning to the patrol car, oh no! He walked across the lawn to my driveway and into my garage where my car was parked!
I popped up out of my chair and went out to meet him. He retrieved the "love note" he had positioned under my wiper blade and handed it to me. The Addison Police Department's Crime Risk Report showed that my garage door was open and unlocked and listed these suggested crime deterrent strategies: close and lock the garage door.
The Addison police officers who patrol at night will stop and leave these love notes on windshields of cars with open garage doors and will sometimes even close the garage doors for the residents. This was the first time I've seen this during daylight hours.
Thank you, Officer, for looking out for Addison's citzens. We love you, too.
