I can't Beleve It's Football Season!

I just got through mowing the front yard and my clothes are completely soaked. It is hot!! And sweaty! and in exactly 3 hours I will be sitting in The Zone at Kyle Field watching the opening kickoff of the Texas Aggie football season against Arkansas State. Now The Aggies have a new coach that has been fairly quiet about things. We all have big hopes for him and the team. So let's cross our fingers and wish the Texas Aggies a great opening game. Gig-em! By the way I am taking my son, a devout Texas Longhorn fan, to the game.....I am quietly working on a conversion. It is a slow and sneaky process.. Very soon though the Aggie spirit will overcome him! He will not be able to resist!;0)

Trey, how did you enjoy the game?  It is hard to believe that football season is here.

Trey, I am so ready....I'm tired of HOT weather. I always loved the fall and football! Let's get there!

Howdy Trey

Well Everbody ....Sorry to Say the Aggies bit the dust yesterday...they did not look good at all .

There is always tomorrow! :)

Is that first football game going to be indicative of our season. I'm fortunate that I haven't had to experience many losing football seasons since I was a freshman in 1973, but that was pretty bad yesterday. It's like we ran out of stamina in the fourth quarter. Perhaps some conditioning? I remember conditioning was one of the things that Jackie Sherrill was big on during his tenure.

My thoughts exactly...now they practice in a new air conditioned building. They were out of steam by the 4th qarter.

I can't imagine watching this game in person.  It has hard enough to listen to on the radio.  Hopefully, they can pull it together for next weekend!!

Linda ...It was pretty sad. Don't know how to react yet.

I used to be the most miserable person in Aggieland when any of our sports teams lost because I was a fan of them all. Season tickets to football, men and women basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, swimming and diving, whatever.

Then I moved to San Diego and my depression went out the window because I didn't learn about losses until hours after the games ended. Unfortunately, my life has taken a downtown lately with bouts of depression again because Aggie games are now available on the Internet. Woe is me. What am I to do? :(

Ah, what the heck. I have the recipe for Dixie Chicken Deathburgers. Couple some of those with a good game of 42, the game in the background, Jerry Jeff if the game gets out of control, and I'll be okay. LOL

Hey Aggie, watch out for my Sooners!!!! Go Sooners!

Trey - Seems like the season just ended and here we are again. Is it just me or does it seem like time is flying by?

You guys always scare us!
