As the 2010 United States Census is now upon us, Amarillo, Texas is still in need of 2,000 part-time workers. The hours are flexible, positions will vary, and it's great part-time work for anyone who needs extra money. The pay starts at $8.00/hr and tops out at $24.00/hr depending on the position you're hired for.
The 2010 United States Census will soon arrive to every household in America through the mail this month. And it's very important to fill yours out and send it back in. But for those who do not send their Census back, Census workers will set out on foot to gather the much needed information.
To work for the Census office, you have to complete a short test first. There will be a testing event held in Amarillo at the Region 16 building at Hillside and Bell Street on Tuesday, March 16th at 6:00 p.m. For those who are interested, a practice test will be given prior to the event at 5:30 p.m.
Those applying should bring a photo ID, a birth certificate, or a passport to be eligible. If you would like more information, you can visit the Census website at www.census.gov or call 1 (866) 861-2010.
