The Zach Jones Memorial Fund Benefiting Local Scholarships and Rabies Research

The Zach Jones Memorial Fund benefiting local scholarships and rabies research presents Z Gala on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Walden on Lake Houston Golf and Country Club. Walden on Lake Houston Golf and Country Club is located at 18100 Walden Forest Drive Humble, TX 77346. The Master of Ceremonies is John P. Lopez - Sports Talk Host 790 AM. Musical entertainment will be provided by These Guys Here. Cocktails and silent auction is scheduled from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Dinner and live auction is scheduled from 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Entertainment will end the evening 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Tickets are $50 per person and cocktail attire. All guests must be age 21 and up to attend. Tickets may be purchased at www.zachjonesmemorial.org. No need to participate in the golf event also scheduled to attend the Gala.

I have never heard of someone dying from rabies. I went to the web site to read about Zach, curious mainly about how he contracted rabies, but there wasn't anything. I did see that he had a dog named Poncho. Anyway, since I couldn't participate in the golf tournament (and unless it was Putt Putt Golf, they wouldn't want me), a donation to the Memorial Fund is on its way.
