In the shadow of the Frost Bank Tower, sits Vince Young Steakhouse. The former site of MTV's Real World Austin house, is now the fine dining home creation, of one of Austin's favorites sons. University of Texas former standout, and current NFL quarterback, Vince Young, has opened Vince Young Steakhouse at 301 San Jacinto, in downtown Austin.
Vince Young Steakhouse has all the feel, of an upscale, steak restaurant experience. Dark wood, comfortable furniture and smooth lights. Of course, there are the burnt orange accents, with a Texas feel, and a gigantic bar area. The menu at Vince Young Steakhouse is complete with great steak offerings, an impressive drink list, and not so subtle offerings, like the Forever Young Chocolate Cake.
Co-Owners, Chef Phillip Brown and his wife Laura McIngvale Brown, have partnered with Young, to design a well appointed, well located, addition, to the Austin downtown restaurant scene. Celebrity restaurants are homages to their owners, and Vince Young Steakhouse is no different. Patrons of the restaurant will find pictures of Young's dazzling on the field success. But make no mistake, this is not a sports bar by any means, but a chic, downtown restaurant.
