Christopher Paolini was at Book People in downtown Austin this weekend to sign his new book for fans. Christopher author of "Eragon", greeted about 300 fans and talked about how he got started writing. Christopher was home schooled and graduated at the age of 15. He describes the days that followed as filled with boredom so he tackled different projects in an attempt to fill his time. He discovered he enjoyed writing and had a creative mind for fantasy. He authored Eragon at 15 and his parents helped him self publish. Over a million copies later he has completed the Eragon Series with the fourth and last book (for now) titled "Inheritance". Enthusiatic fans listened as he described his inspirations for the series. Questions were fielded about the books, future plans and various other topics.
Christopher read a passage from each of his four books and even spoke to the crowd a bit in Elvish. All in all a great day. Zak and I attened. Zak is a great fan of the book series, he was able to get all four copies of his book signed. We left book people (just accross the street from Waterloo Records in Austin) and went to one of our very favorite burger places HUTS hamburgers. Huts is a must visit when in Austin located on famed 6th street. What a great day!!
