The Villages at Kyle shopping center, which will be similar to Austin's South Park Meadows, is under construction at the intersection of FM 1626 and I 35 in Kyle, and will feature a new Seton Medical Center, Target, Old Navy, Kohl's, Lowes, plus more. This is very exciting for the citizens of Kyle as they still have to go to Austin or San Marcos if they need to do some serious shopping, there's just nothing like having an Old Navy or Kohl's nearby. The roster of stores could change at any time. I will keep you posted!
This could not have come at a better time as a lot of people are moving to Kyle these days. A year ago you didn't have too much trouble getting to Kyle during the evening rush hour, but on yesterday I got stuck on I 35 quite a few times in between Ben White/ SH 71 and FM 1626, I was shocked. Fortunately I was only going to north Kyle and I was able to take the back roads back to my South Austin home, funny that not too many people take the back roads to Kyle. Hmm.
There are some very nice neighborhoods near the new shopping center, one of them has access to a private lake, and one could assume that they will be highly sought after once the hospital has opened. Hint. Hint. Of course nothing is guaranteed in real estate; who knows maybe the trends will have changed by then and no one will want to own property anywhere near a hospital by then. You never know.
