Summer decided to make another appearance here in Austin TX as we hit Triple Digits again this weekend. I had this brilliant idea to go to Lake Austin because why would many people be out on the water after Labor Day??

Wow! We were so totally and completely wrong! There were so many boats on the water, it was hard to do much of anything.
I took one short set of wakeboarding on my new CWB Edge Wakeboard Bindings, Mike did one set on the Wakeskate, and the rest was playing around on the tube with friends, and showing them how to wakeboard and surf behind the boat.
All of the public boat ramps for Lake Travis are closed so we were forced to go to Lake Austin since Lake Austin is a constant-level lake (river).
The night ended in a way no one on a boat wants it to end... we had to call for a tow... the fuel pump gave out, but which one, we're still trying to figure it out. I had my 9 1/2 month old baby with us, and NO ONE would offer us a tow back to the boat ramp. I thought Austin people were supposed to be nice and generous, but holding my baby while pleading for help did nothing... About an hour into our wait, a gentleman offered to take us to our cars, but that didn't help get the boat back. I sent my friends with them as they didn't need to wait any longer. They were patient enough.
Then, about 2 hours into our wait, this family finished eating and offered to tow us, but right when we hooked up with them, the Sea Tow company finally showed up. For an afternoon adventure that started at 2pm and was supposed to end about 6pm, we got home after 10... it was quite an adventure for the kids, but they were such good troopers. I did find a lady with a baby with Landon's exact birthday, and she gave me some formula for him so that kept him happy a little longer.
Here was our Lake Austin Adventure in pictures...
Me and Alyssa going on the tube.

Me, Alyssa, and Landon swimming.

Landon is thinking about climbing out.

Landon is climbing out, he's fast... while we're moving about 20MPH.

Me and my new CWB Edge Binding. They're a little big, but will work.

Me

Alyssa and Landon both being happy.

The Restaurant we stopped at for dinner, Sky Shores Cafe... and where the boat didn't want to leave as it wouldn't start back up... the live music was nice as we sat waiting.

Mike and The Sea Tow boat getting us back to the boat ramp... how embarrassing...
