We started off our 4th of July by getting up and making a bee line to the Magnolia Cafe ~ the one on Lake Austin Blvd. We were able to beat the rush by 3 minutes!
This Austin favorite is open 24/8!
Their food is prepared with passion and served up in a comfortable relaxed style. I had their vegetable omelet covered with con queso! I took half home for a future indulgence!
My husband, Gene, scarffed down a short stack of blueberry pancakes (I did have a bite) and Eggs Benedict!
The families, couples, singles, started filing in from everywhere!
You have to get your name on the list, sit and wait under the spreading oak tree to hear your name called.
There were no celebrity sightings to twitter about, but if there were Magnolia Cafe is up and twittering!
