I completed my GRI certification!

Most consumers usually have no idea what the initials after Realtors' names stand for, but they do stand for something!

GRI, or Graduate Realtor Institute is a certification that Realtors can obtain if they take, and pass, 90 extra hours of education on top of their normal education renewal and license hours. 90 hours!

So, I'm very happy to say that after months (almost one year's worth) of taking these classes, I'm officially GRI certified!

The three different classes (30 hours each) that you must pass to obtain this desgination are: Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Marketing, and Real Estate Brokerages. Texas Associatin of Realtors states that Realtors with this designation earn twice as much than those without (let's hope so!).

I'm very excited for 2010 and hope that this designation helps me better serve my clients!
