About 20 miles Northwest of Austin Texas is a collection of about 12 buildings dating from the 1830's to the 1870's. In the building's and along the property you can find a various collection of relics such as antiques and old farm equipment etc. The folks on the property are dressed in vintage clothing dated to the era. Here the average person can go and see and get a feel of what the old west was like. As well as buy souvenir gifts while there. Fort Tumbleweed is open to the public on weekends and available by reservation for events and Historic tours during the week.

Hi Danny: I have never heard of Fort Tumbleweed, I know more western history about Kansas than Texas. I'm learning about Texas though.
Marchel,this isn't really a historic fort it's just called that. There's old buildings there and a group of people dressed in 18th century clothing acting out skits telling folklore stories etc. A tourist spot.
