This weekend June 14th & 15 will be the 4th Annual Blanco Lavender Festival in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. There are 10 Lavender farms that are open to the public on Saturdays, and are blooming from mid May until the end of June. A few hours west of Houston, it is well worth the drive to get out of the city for the day or even weekend.
A lavender market will be held on the grounds of the Old Blanco County Courthouse featuring arts and crafts and local lavender products. Tour many of the local lavender farms where you will experience the beauty of lavender in the fields and the unique vision of each farmer.

Very nice! There is a Lavendar Festival up north in Sequim (pronounced "skwim"). I have been attending for a few years and it usually is the same weekend as their local quilt guilds Quilt Show. The other reason I love it is that the street fair is full of vendors who are local- not people selling things I can find at the stores. I love all the wonderful lavendar crafts and things.
I plant Lavendar but of course it doesn't survive our Minnesota winters. I used to make closet & drawer sachets, but no time for that stuff anymore.
Sarah-Sounds like fun, and something different to do.
Kahleen-It grows here, but I haven't had much luck with it.
