If you haven't been to our natural history museum lately you must go. It boasts a new fresh look inside. It is a great place to escape to for a few hours on a hot summer day. There are summer kid's nature camp programs and more. Come on and take a look! Approximately 50 years ago I visited the museum in its original location.
I have been hooked ever since!

Texas has so much history in regard to Indian culture. I had a uncle who was a priest at one of the missions there and he used to bring us bead work from the Indian's!
Trey, I love learning about Native American history and traditions. My husband has some Cherokee, Comanche, and Choctaw ancestry so he likes it even more than I do!
Jane
I think their bead work is amazing.
Shirley
Wow ...that is neat . Does he keep up with any connections with tribes?
Trey - It looks like a wonderful exhibit. We have the California State Indian Museum next to Sutter's Fort here in Sacramento. Unfortunately, I fear it will be closed for awhile due to California's budget problems.
Howdy there Trey
Folks sure do need to thake the time, to learn more about our Native American brothers and sister's culture.
The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History, sure does sound like a real fine place to visit.
Myrl
That is a shame about the state museum. I would love to visit it.
Dale
I feel you would sure enjoy the museum.
Hello Trey,
"Caddo Traditions and Heritage" is something I know absolutely nothing about, yet it sounds so interesting to me. I've become a huge fan of museums all over, especially when it comes to local history. Who knows maybe someday if/when I'm in your community it's a place I'd want to visit.
Today visiting a museum is something I'm trying to instill to my grand-kids, (enough of the costly amusement parks) we have a wonderful kid's museum nearby. We've become season regulars and love it.
Lynda
Can't wait til my grandson is big enough to go see dinosaur bones with grandpa!
This sounds like a really great thing to attend. Our Red River Museum here in Idabel has excellent exhibits and special ones at times also. Everyone should know what's going on at their local museum. Isn't it great to have a good museum close by?
Judi
It really is ...just wish more folks would attend.
