Should I or shouldn't I? If I do then what? But if I don't then how?
Questions, questions, questions.............
So that you don't think that I am just muttering to myself and worrying over the answers to the meaning of life, I am trying to decide on something that may not be as important as the meaning of life but for me right now it's running a very close second. Well maybe not close but it's still a question that I need to answer.
You see I'm putting together our web site which has turned into a very time consuming affair and for any of you that have done this process before you will appreciate my uncertainty in having to make yet another content decision.
The puzzle I am trying to figure out at the moment is how best to encourage visitors to provide their contact information. We can do the whole email new listings section and email new blog posts option, we can also do the email new events or open houses and we can do giveaway sections but thats not where I'm stuck.
My issue is with the whole home evaluation section. Should I include that and if so how would I word it. I don't want sellers assuming that this is a service that can be provided with just a few fields filled in on the internet. As you all know, this requires many hours of work and also at the very least one visit to the property being analyzed. However many, many sites have this section on there.
So just how effective is it? Is there a way that I can just do a preliminary range of valuations and if so is it better to have a long list of fields to be completed or will this just turn off the visitor? I don't want to come across as if I'm trying to con contact information from the visitor by saying that I will provide a free comparative market analysis by email if they give me their info as I can't provide that information without at least visiting the property. So how can this be done?

Do any of you have similar sections on your sites and if so are they working for you?
I would appreciate any feedback on this as I don't want to belittle the whole CMA process yet I see so many on other sites.
Your comments are appreciated.
