Fritellas, a new Bryan, Texas Tradition

Have a hankering for real Italian food, served steaming hot from the oven? Try Fritellas at 3901 South Texas Avenue, right by Garden Acres Subdivision. From their hot, crunchy breadsticks, to their tiramasu this place is truly fantastic. Authentic Italian food, made from scratch, while you watch at a comfortable table

The venue is truly unique, it was a former Taco Bell restaurant, but it's been extensively remodeled now. Indoors is two viewing areas into the kitchen with it's huge ovens and gleaming wood tables, brick accents and lots of character. Outside is a patio that is unequaled in the area. A huge waterscape and lots of landscaping make this a fabulous place to sit and unwind!

The prices are inexpensive and the food is great!!! What a combination.

My favorite is the eggplant parmigian ($7.50), Fritellas are always popular ($3 currently this is a folder pizza with meat in the middle), green lasagna, cappacino ($3). See the whole menu at

This is one of the colorful Houstonite Marvin Zindler's favorites. Zindler is a reporter portrayed in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" for his prominant role in closing down the establishment. Well known in Houston for his restaurant reports showcasing restaurants that are less than clean he also established a list of 50 favorites that Frittelas is featured on. Zinder initially met Adrianno Farionilla in Houston when he was coowner of the 40 year old establishment Pino's.
