Howdy there Carl and Ceil

I'm also not a golfer. Did play some when I lived down in Florida though.

This sure does sound like a mighty fine Country Club and Golf Course.

Got a funny story to tell ya about that.

This took place in Florida back in 1967. I was shown how to play golf, by the President of Form Cafeteria. He also show me how to open a coconut on the course with a putter.

I also helped him send one of the VP's packen by helppen him stack coconuts to the top of her hotel door. Her face sure was funny, after they all fell in to her room when she open the door the next morning . She was not a very nice lady at all. My mom did not even get upset with me for helping to do that.

I also told our friend Frakn B. about this. Seen that he does play golf.

Canyon Lak itself is one of the prettiest lakes in the whole Lone Star State. Bet you love working the area!

Dale - now that was quite a story. Didn't know you lived in Florida, what part of Florida? Ceil is from Florida, of course is a transplant Texan after she married me almost 50 years. ago.

Trey - It is a beautiful area, lots of folks moving in. I worked on the dam one summer when I was in high school; we watched the lake fill with water. Now like most area's throughout the state we are praying for water. Last I heard we had two boat ramps open, need some rain to replenish the lake. They are also drawing down water to sell to other areas.  Wish I had some time to go out and enjoy the lake and river, maybe when I retire.

Howdy there Carl and Ceil

Good afternoon my friends

I lived in the small town named Perrine, in Dade County. Florida was also where I first learned to scuba dive. Did a lot of scuba diving down and surfing around the Keys where Ceil is from. And scuba dived and surfed up and down both Florida coasts. Had a lod of good times down there. Back deen it sure was a lot of fun to go to Panama City, with all the carny kind of rides along the Gulf coast. Very few areas of Florida I did not make it to, when I lived down there.

Canyon Lake is a beautiful lake and the scenery all around it is gorgeous.  We do need rain!  All over Texas we need rain and cooler temperatures.

Dale thanks for the update and your grand time living in Florida. It is a state that offers lots of water activities for sure.

Hello Ms. Ricki thanks for stopping. You said when we bumped into each other on Facebook that you would be over to say Hi and that you did. Ricki I also believe we live in a nice part of the hill country. I was up close to you a couple weeks ago, went to an auction over in Llano. (kinda close to Kerrville), like we say just up the road a way. I know Ceil's folks enjoyed living in Kerrville for a short time years ago.

Carl & Ceil,

It's a great golf course, I played it a few years back and really enjoyed it.  It pretty reasonable on the pocket as well.

Carl, I'll have to tell Don about the golf course at Canyon Lake -- didn't know they'd let non-members play golf.  He played golf yesterday -- they had to quit at 9 holes though -- it was too hot!  We sure do need some rain and cooler temperatures.

Frank since I'm not a golfer I forget that course is over there. When I was inspecting the home in the vicinity I thought it would be a good blog.

Judi - I agree, way too hot out there to be playing golf.
