How to avoid a Plumber's House Call

A few simple steps that can save you some dollars.....

When was the last time you had a clogged drain? A clogged drain can certainly be a nuisance. Just by following a few steps you can avoid calling a plumber if you're not able to clear it yourself.

Yes you can whip out the Drain Opener or other type drain cleaners or openers. That should get the job done. Maybe - Maybe-Not depending on the the severity of the clog. If "not" you'll have to call your friendly plumber.

Here is a guide that will help avoid the drain openers or gadgets, and a call to your friendly plumber. Don't take me wrong, plumbers are important; if we can avoid a call that means more dollars in your pocket.

Simple ways to Avoid a Plumber's House Call

Collect Your Food Scraps, Oil, and Grease

1. By using strainers to catch food scraps. (not everyone has a disposal)

2. Do not dump grease and oil down your drain

3. Do not dump hot candle wax down your drain (you'll have a big surprise when it hardens)

4. Watch items like water and flour, that also can clog unless you use lots of water to make sure it doesn't clog

I recently read the average cost for a plumber to make a house call is $250.00
