Texas World Speedway Hosts Chamber Mixer

The Texas World Speedway in College Station hosted the monthly Chamber of Commerce mixer meeting today . I have posted in the past about the benefits of attending these events regularly. Not only does it help business people stay in touch with regular members, but it helps each of us get to know so many of the businesses and their physical locations in the local community. Also it is a great opportunity to meet many of the newest members of the business community and learn what they do.

Staying connected locally is fun and educational. Today's event at the speedway was no exception. It is a well known fact that Texas World Speedway is one of the fastest tracks ever constructed. At today's event 7 Miata sports cars were chosen to race and the chamber members were allowed to select who they thought would win. Those who chose the winning car were placed in a drawing and the final winner will receive a free instructional lesson on the track. No , I didn't win but I did get to enjoy the great eats and grilled tenderloin prepared by Outback Steak House!
