Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park - Close to College Station & Fun for the Entire Family

Located just 1.5 hours from College Station, Texas, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is a fun and entertaining place to get away from home and have a mini-vacation. The park is filled with camping aminities and there are many park activites. Jellystone allows day visits or you can stay and camp out overnight. The park has tent space available as well as a fully equipped RV sites with sewer, water, and electric hook-up and comfortable heat & AC cabins.

The park isn't the place to go if you are looking for outdoor piece and quiet under the stars. The camp sites are closely set next to each other, and it is very easy to meet your neighbor. However, when it comes to things to do, this place has it covered! Park activities include: fishing at their large fully stocked lake, a lazer maze, a petting zoo, minature golf, nature trails for hiking, a children's playground, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, pool and a little heated water park filled with different types of slides. The park also has an outdoor movie theater that plays a movie Saturday night and there are occasional visits throughout the day of Yogi Bear himself. Despite the fact that the park is usually crowded, the restrooms and shower facilities are unusually clean and definitely better than those that you would find at a Texas Park.

Other sight seeing places that aren't too far away from the park include: the Washington-On-The-Brazos state park, the Pleasant Hill Wineary, and the Monastery where Miniture Horses are raised.

If you want to get away from the house, and take the kids for a mini-adventure, I highly recommend Yogi Bear's Jellystone park. It is a safe, fun place to take your picnick basket!
