Lake Conroe

I live on Lake Conroe and as you might expect I spend part of my time on the lake. Like most of us who use the lake I admit that I do not often, nor if I were to admit it, have I ever thought about the rules and regulations that govern the use of the wonderful lake. I just go hit the lake and do not really worry about the rules for its' use. My bad.

I know that the fishing is good on the lake. Although I will admit that I am not much of a fisherman. My grandson will quickly agree with that last statement. I know that it is a reservoir for the City of Houston in the event of drought. I know that it has a long dam. I know it has some great bars on its' shores. I know that some of my friends go way to fast in their boats on the lake. And I know a lot of other "who could care less" facts about the lake. I also know that I do not know the rules and regulations of Lake Conroe.

So guess what I have provided a link to in this blog? That's right you guessed correctly. The link shown below will take you to the Rules and Regulations for Lake Conroe as published by the San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA). The SJRA sets the rules for the use of Lake Conroe.

Tonight when you are not doing anything click on the link below and spend some of your time reading the rules and regulations for our great lake. You may just find that like me you are breaking the rules every time you hit the water!
