Being a transplant to Texas from New England I am still learning the differences between the Northeast and the Southwest. A couple of days ago I was going out to my car at work, and I noticed that there was painting on our office windows. I semi-jokingly said "Look! We've been vandalized!" - I was mistaken; it was merely the carrying on of a long lived tradition of supporting the local High School Football Team. The Coppell Cowboys to be exact!

As a show of support it is quite common place to paint your business windows with words of encouragement for the Team!
The Coppell Cowboys are in the playoffs and have advanced to the District Championship to play the Allen Eagles at Texas Stadium tonight at 8:00pm. There is a big send off planned tonight at the High School beginning at 5:30pm with a path of supporters lining from the Field House to Denton Tap Road. Everyone is encouraged to bring flashlights as it will be dark. For more information go to: http://www.coppellcowboys.com/

The excitement in the town for "their" team is amazing. So on behalf of the City of Coppell; let me join in saying "GO GET "EM COWBOYS!"
Oh yeah, we have another team down here with a similar name. Will wait to write about them another day!
Good Afternoon from Coppell, Texas -
