Pearce Civil War Museum

The Pearce Civil War Museumand Archives features first-hand accounts of the American Civil War. Organized around the time-line, the museum exhibits letters, diaries, journals, images, and artifacts from the era. The Pearce Collection consists of more than 14,000 original Cival War letters, documents and artifacts. This wonderful collection is located on the Navarro College Campus at 3100 W. Collin Avenue in Corsicana, TX.

Navarro CollegeItems document the northern and southern experience of the Civil War
as well as its leaders, soldiers and residents. There are many letters
and diaries from military, political and civic leaders and soldiers.

The museum is open to the public and has hosted numerous field trips
for school children. This is a great place to visit!

If I am in Texas I will be sure to visit.  This museum sounds great.
