Dallas Arts District: Crow Collection of Asian Art

Did you know that the Crow Collection of Asian Art is free?

Come to the Dallas Arts District and visit the Crow Collection of Asian Art: a jewel box of art, from China, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia. Admission to the museum is free for all. The Crow Collection offers a free, docent guided tour of the permanent collection every Thursday, at 6:30 PM and Saturday, at 1:00 PM. Special tours can be arranged for individuals and small groups. The docents are knowledgeable and fun at this museum. The tours are engaging for all ages. What a great way for students to learn about art history! Whether you are new to the world of Asian art, or you are a collector, you will enjoy your docent led tour.

Be sure to visit the Trammell Crow European Sculpture Garden. Sculptures surround the exterior of the 50 story polished granite Trammell Crow Center. You will see bronzes, including Auguste Rodin's Cybele (1889), and Large Torse of a Man(1882). Also impressive is Emile Antoine Bourdelle's Hercules the Archer,created in 1909. Be sure to see Aristide Maillol's Nymph with Flowers, from 1931. Every Saturday at 1:00 PM there is a free, guided tour of the Sculpture Garden. All tours begin in the lobby of the museum.
