Strategic and Economic Imperatives of India - U.S. Relations in a Troubled World: Looking Ahead

Ambassador Swashpawan Singh

Wednesday, September 9

6:00 PM Registration and Reception - 6:30 PM Program

The Crow Collection of Asian Art

2010 Flora Street, Dallas, TX

Co-sponsored by Paul and Geetha Pandian and The Crow Collection of Asian Art.

Since 2004, bilateral trade between India, the world's most populous democracy, and the United States, has doubled. Many in the U.S. are concerned about the off-shoring of American jobs.  In India, people fear American protectionism.  Both countries share concerns about global peace.

Ambassador Swashpawan Singh, one of India's most distinguished diplomats, will speak about the opportunities and challenges facing the United States and India, as the governments of the two countries explore ways to strengthen their ties.

Prior to his current post, Ambassador Swashpawan served as Ambassador to Kuwait and was India's first Consul General to Houston from 1994 to 1997.

Tickets for this event are available for $20 to members of Friends of the Crow Collection and members of the World Affairs Council Dallas/Fort Worth. Non-member tickets are available for $35.

Online registration is available.  If you register five or more days before the event, there is an early bird discount of $5.  You can also call 214-965-8412 to register.

I hope to see you there!
