Dallas Arts District Walking Tour

Dallas Arts District Walking Tour - November 7, 2009

The Dallas Arts District, covering approximately 68 acres in downtown Dallas, is currently the largest urban arts district in the United States. On the first and third Saturdays of the month, you can take a guided tour of the District, at 10:00 AM. The 90 minute outdoor architecture walking tour begins at the ceremonial entrance to the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), located at Flora and Harwood. Tours are $10.00/adult, $8.00/Dallas Arts District Members and AIA Members, and $5.00/students. Children under the age of 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.

The tour provides an opportunity to learn about the history and architectural style of the area's distinctive buildings. Trained guides highlight the people and institutions that embraced a dream and made the Arts District a reality.

Take advantage of the opportunity to explore the architectural richness of this special neighborhood!
