Beginning July 6, there will be new flight options at Dallas' convenient Love Field airport. Delta Air Lines has announced its plans to fly nonstop between Dallas Love Field and its Memphis, Tennessee hub 3 times per day.
This new service will be a return to Love Field for Delta, which as recently as 2003 offered nonstop service linking Love Field with its hub in Atlanta. According to Delta, passengers flying from Love Field to Memphis will have connecting opportunities to 237 daily flights to 90 worldwide destinations.
Flown on 50 seat regional jets, these flights will offer local business travelers and residents of Dallas' close-in neighborhoods a convenient alternative to the 15-20 mile drive to DFW International Airport.
Home to Southwest Airlines, Love Field has recently announced plans for a new terminal to replace the current one and beginning in 2014, all current flight restrictions at Love Field will be dropped allowing for longer distance flights on larger aircraft.
