Recently I was working with Buying Clients who were looking for some small acreage to build their retirement home. Part of what they wanted was to be in a "neighborhood" without being in a neighborhood. Sounds confusing right?
They wanted to be in an area of similar style homes with light covenants and an active but not overactive home and land owners association on a larger than one acre lot so they could have some privacy. They wanted to be within fifteen minutes of local ameneties and also wanted paved roads and utilites at the road. They also wanted some mature native tree growth and some small open clearings which both would be inviting to the native wildlife and birds.
Here in Bastrop County there are a number of areas and subdivisions that meets quite a few of these "wants" and one of them that really fit the bill was The Oaks, a rural residential subdivision located just off of FM 969 in the Elgin ISD in Bastrop County.
If you or anyone you know are looking to Buy or Sell a similar property in Bastrop County please contact me, I would love to help you!
