Farmers Branch to Increase Tax Revenue

Notice of Tax Revenue Increase

The City of Farmers Branch conducted public hearings on August 25, 2009 and September 1, 2009 on a proposal to increase the total tax revenues of the City of Farmers Branch from properties on the tax roll in the preceding year by 9.3 percent.

The total tax revenue raised last year at last year's tax rate of $0.4945 for each $100 of taxable value was $20,475,557.

The total tax revenue proposed to be raised this year at the proposed tax rate of $0.5195 for each $100 of taxable value, excluding tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year, is $21,758,390.

The City of Farmers Branch is scheduled to vote on the tax rate that will result in that tax increase at a public meeting to be held on September 15, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the City of Farmers Branch City Hall located at 13000 William Dodson Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
