This thought is PROBABLY directed more at beginning Realtors rather than veterans, but
Don't MISS Out On Life Because You Are A Realtor.
Realtors can work crazy hours, and be "on call" and even if they choose work both days on the weekends. But life doesn't change with others in your life just cause you are a Realtor.
Recently I have been invited to birthday celebrations, 60th wedding anniversaries, sporting events, children's recitals and best I can I will try to attend as many as I can.
The trick is controlling your time, using a calendar, time blocking and being firm with what you value in life. If you are a single person, don't have any family near by and want to call yourself a 24/7 Realtor, go for it. Just remember, those events happen whether you are taking part in them or not. High school reunions, kids growing up, parents growing older, funerals, cruises, summer vacations, celebrating the holidays, etc.
DO NOT miss out on life, just because of what you do for your work. LIFE is MUCH, MUCH more important.
