I don't usually do movie reviews from flicks I've seen and usually leave that to our Active Rain movie specialist Helpful Hannah of Philadelphia.
But recently I saw a new one out there still on the big screen, Act Of Valor. It is about two Navy SEAL team missions, one about extracting a kidnapped female CIA officer and another about stopping a terrorist plot in Mexico by terrorists wanting to enter the U.S. and do damage.
I am not here to give a RECOMMEND on this picture cause we all have different tastes and it is long on violence but also very good on the action part. If it is your type fine, or not......
BUT the point I did want to make if you sample movies to immerse yourself in some drama of sorts to escape your normal sensory of the world this one is based on real accounts these SEAL guys go through. The military gave them quite a bit of access to parachuting, river boats, submarines, aircraft carriers and along with the bullets flying and explosions you tend to expect with these America saves the world movies you do see the "caliber" of these few good men left in the world who "hone their training" to an excellent level and are very focused as they call it "going down range." Excellent cinematography and you leave with the sense of "sacrifice" these men give to their country.
