The unemployment rate has dropped from 7.9 to 7.7 percent in September, according the statistics compiled by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). This figure is comparatively lower than the National unemployment rate of 9.8 percent for the month of September. Michigan and Nevada hold the highest unemployment rates at 15.2 percent and 13.2 percent respectively. "The Texas labor force continued to grow in August, remaining above 12 million workers," said TWC Commissioner Representing Labor Ronny Congleton. "To help connect workers with available jobs, staff at more than 240 workforce centers across the state are available to provide job-search assistance and other services." These facts and figures help to provide a more comforting and positive outlook to new and existing homeowners in the Collin County neighborhood.
