This is the closest neighborhood to Galveston that has true beach homes on the sand. Sunny beach is a nice older neighborhood with some new homes and a few lots available. Over all it is about 25% full time owners, and 75% second home owners. The main road to sunny beach is also a beach access point and so the vacation rentals in this area get great exposure. The most notable feature of sunny beach is the horse rides that originate at a stable on the beach.
