The Bay Area SPCA is now open from 11 am to 6 pm on Mondays and Fridays. It will close at 5 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This private nonprofit organization, founded in 1967, is a limited admission animal care facility. This means that a commitment is made to the lives of the animals accepted, because their belief is that healthy, unwanted animals should not be euthanized.
