Hurricane Ike's Impact On Houston Real Estate

In Houston, real estate can be as local as your neighborhood. Every area is different. The full effect of Hurricane Ike isn't fully known and as time passes more information will become available to all of us.

On the West & Northwest side of town many homes have regained power, water and trash pick-up. Most of the local roads, highways and entrance and exit ramps are clear for cars to travel.

Many of you have seen my sign pulled from your yard and can expect it to return as early as tomorrow, Thursday. Today I have 4 showing request from both Internet and phone call leads interested in seeing my listings. Buyers still need to see homes and are doing so on a rather large scale. Our local association www.har.com expects to be up and running in accordance with it's local schools schedule which is tomorrow. Most real estate offices are associated with www.showings.comor CSS as It's referred to facilitate and schedule their showings. As of yesterday, they are fully operational and staffed to handle their normal day to day operations.
