Today, even with all the dreary news of the lack of judgment of our government and our denial of the tax credit and other challenging enigmas in my life, I just couldn't help but notice our signs of spring. Buds about to burst with the color of our world to remind us there is hope. Tiny yet strong signs that all will be okay if we just let it be that way.
Even the tiniest of flowers can survive the freezes and lawnmower and storms and so much that life throws at it. And because it has been such a struggle to "arrive" they do so with the grandeur of the bell of the ball.
They pop with their true colors to show the world they are good, strong and simply meant to be.
This is the way I choose to be. I may fail many times but I will fight my way to the sun. I will show my true colors, smile at the sun and my Heaven, and continue to "Be" what I am meant to be. I am surrounded by blessings, not to mention the blessing of "life itself" so why continue to be down?? No way.
If you look closely you will see their smiles! Enjoy.

Thanks for viewing!

Deb,
What beautiful pictures, and what lovely, positive thoughts. Although, still in the midst of Winter in our area, the sun is shining, and the beauty of the day comes through. Thanks for sharing your insight. Olga
Deb, These pictures are beautiful. We just got rid of about 2 feet of snow and can see our lawns once again but I hear snow is on the way tonight...
Olga, thank you so much! We have to work to maintain a "positive attitude" that's for sure! I stood and "listened" to the flowers. They have much to teach.
Barb, thank you. Two feet of snow, huh? EEEWWWW. I don't think I could handle that. I would go stir crazy. I'm glad you're seeing your grass again! See, there's hope! Hang in there.

Hi Deb, I like this quote which your post made me think of. The Earth laughs in flowers. NEVER stay down!! : )
Hi Deb, Interesting story. I wish I could keep our flowers ALIVE during February.
Cheerful is a choice! Keep smiling! =-)
Gary, that's so true. I'm glad to have my back yard beginning to smile.
Greg, except for the Iris...these are all gifts from birds and wind. They're wild.
Rick, so much of our lives are made up of choice. I choose to be happy.

Deb, these are such lovely pictures and this post is perfect for today. You certainly have a winning attitude.
Thank you!
Deb, I had to peek because of 'frog' in your blog title. Yep, you got a pretty one there on the ledge.
Great little thoughts to match the special little pictures! The little frog by the doorbell is adorable. My grandkids describe frogs as coming in 3 sizes: (1) Redeeps = little frogs (2) Rivits = medium frogs (3) Wromp-wromps = big frogs. That one is definitely a Redeep!
Deb - Have you read "The Traveler's Gift" by Andy Andrews? If you haven't, you should. Best book that I've ever read (short of scripture) and the only one I've ever read more than 2 - 3 times (about 12 times so far). Whenever I need an uplifting "kick in the pants" I read it again. (and listen to it on audio too)
lovely smiles - thanks!
What a great post to end my day on.
there Deb, my friend
The mountaains, I become part of them. The fir tree, I become part of it.
The morning mists, the clouds that gather water, I become part of it.
I sure did like looking at your flower photo's. I really like the photo, of the tree frog. They are so cool.
Thank you Dale, Thank you Missy, Thank you all, I enjoyed gathering these photos today.
The name Debra is literally translated as Tree Frog or Bee. That's me. Ribbit....or, watch out or I'll sting. He,he.
