I Pad and EReader Seminar in Katy Texas
The Katy Branch Library located at 5414 Franz Road Katy Texas (Old Katy) will hold an adults only workshop on Saturday January 7, 2012. The class will run from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and will help attendees become familiar with I Pad, Kindle, Nook or Sony Reader. This class will be held the Library’s computer lab and space is limited. Reservations are suggested and can be made by calling directly at 281-391-3509. I forgot to mention the best part is the cost is my favorite number of Free.
Katy Branch library is part of the Harris County Library System.
I have written previously about the computer courses held at both the Harris County Library System and the Fort Bend Library System. Residents in this area can easily live in one county or the other and the dividing line between both counties is a very jagged line with no real logic that I can find behind it. These two groups continue to do an excellent job of bringing education to the public and it is usually free of charge. I am a big fan of education at any age and will continue to write blogs about classes at these facilities I feel will benefit the general public.
If I have time I might try to attend as I have an I Pad and I have had no guidance of any nature as to how to use it. The Apple store inside Houston city limits does offer classes (supposedly) but these classes are not convenient from both a time and location standpoint. Just standing in the long line to get registered is not fun let alone anything else.
