Celebrate the Harvest
The31st Annual Katy Rice Harvest Festivalwill be held October 8th and 9th, 2011 from 10am-6pm in Historic Downtown Katy. This year’s festival offers family fun, entertainment, food, crafts, games and carnival rides and so much more. “Today, the Rice Harvest Festival has over 300 craft and food booths and 45,000 to 50,000 visitors.” Tickets are $7.00 for adults and free entrance to children 10 and under to the Rice Festival. Free parking and shuttle service is available. Once you are there, purchase your $20.00 unlimited carnival rides arm bands and let the fun begin! On October 22, 2011 join 500 other Katy residents as they walk to raise money for MS research. Visit www.walkmstexas.org to register to walk, volunteer or donate. There is no cost to register, and online registration is currently open. There is no registration fee and no minimum pledge commitment; however, the average walker raises $225 to support research initiatives, programs and services of the Society. Event day activities will begin at 7:30a.m., followed by a 9:00 a.m. start time for the walk.
