I walked into Kroger yesterday--October 3. I was going in there for a few items for the dinner menu for the night. Walked around and was greeted by CHRISTMAS! Years ago, I worked in retail, actually in a grocery store, while going to college and it seemed every year that Christmas stuff got out on the sales floor just a little earlier... This year, it made it out by the first part of October... Is this a hope that they can get a jump on holiday spending and have a great holiday shopping season or is it just such a soft economy right now that they feel they HAVE to get it out there to move their commitments on Christmas stuff?
