The Kaufman County Real Estate Market Report was interesting in a positive way, for the period of Sept. - Oct, 2011. There has been some movement in our market as we were just coming out of the Summer months. But the numbers were still positive.
The Kaufman County Real Estate Market Report was conducted for the County overall as well as a break-down of that overall number as it relates to the major cities in Kaufman County. There were a total of 179 Single Family Residential properties sold for this period. When I conducted a more detailed look at this number, I broke it down by the major city's School District. The numbers looked like this:
Forney ISD in the City of Forney, Texas is Kaufman County's largest city and School District. A lot of our new construction is done there with production builders such as DR Horton, David Weekly, Horizon Homes and First Texas Homes, just to name a few. These builders are offering various Buyer Incentives such as $5000 in upgrades, Stainless Steel Appliance Package, etc., as well as very creative financing through programs such as USDA and the MCC (Mortgage Credit Certificate) Program.
Next month's market report will be an overall year-end review of the Kaufman County Real Estate Market. We will look at how the numbers placed during certain times of the year, i.e. Spring and Summer, in order to get an overall view of the right time to buy and sell a house in Kaufman County, Texas.
