The heat is here and before we know it, it will be officially summer. Now that the weather is warm, many turn to local pools to keep cool. Pool safety is important this time of year and Williamson County officials are warning of the dangers that pools can bring and things to do to protect your children from drowning.
Already this year since the end of May, there have been 34 children across Texas that have passed away due to drowning, according to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Williamson County is fortunate enough to have not had any drownings during this time.
