Danny - I like your description of Manor, a sleepy little town, sad to say most of these places are disappearing. Is this town in your marketplace? if it is, there will be opportunities coming your way.
Jennifer our MLS coverage goes up to 56 miles east of Austin and Manor is only 15 miles. So yes it is definitely in my area of coverage. I've already sold some homes there. Although Manor is going to change overnight. I think this is really exciting news for the area. 8000 jobs brought to a small town like that overnight isn't anything to sneeze about either!
Danny, any idea why they chose Manor? Very interesting and I'll look forward to seeing follow up about it.
Chris,I really don't know why at the moment unless it's because there is already movie lots set up at the old Robert Mueller Airport and places it in close proximity. I do know that the state legislature passed special legislation in regards to this! Go figure? No matter where it is located though not only is this a boost to the Austin area but Texas as a whole!
Gregory, what's the matter? Everything else is moving west towards you!
Another small town will bite the dust.... I love small towns - but... how exciting.
Thesa, your absolutely right about another small town disappearing. But it was inevitable because there is a major highway going right thru the town and along this highway all the little towns are being consumed.
