Dear Tony Romo - Congrats on the Engagement & 6 Reasons You Should Move to McKinney, TX!

In case you missed the news over the last weekend, Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys recently got engaged to his girlfriend - Miss Candice Crawford. I was happy for him. He's taken some flack over the last few years in regards to his personal life, and you know what - they're a gorgeous couple.

Another thought also came to mind...I wonder where they'll MOVE once married.

So, I pulled together the following letter for Tony & his bride-to-be:

Dear Tony and Candice,

Congratulations on the news of your engagement! Like many newly engaged couples, I'm sure you have already begun your home search for THE PERFECT place to call home after wedding. You know, the place you want to establish your roots - close to BOTH of your jobs - and a place to bring home your babies some day...

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself...

However, if you have NOT started your search, then I'd like to make a suggestion:

Move to McKinney, Texas!

Why?

1. YOUR COMMUTE! Location, location, location! You're only a 30-40 minute drive to DFW airport and just a few extra miles beyond the airport is Jerry World Arlington Stadium. Candice can just as easily commute to her job in Downtown Dallas! Don't feel like driving? Park your G6 at Collin County Regional Airport - one of Dallas' largest and most active corporate flight departments.

2. YOU'RE AMERICAN! In case you didn't read Money Magazine this summer while you were at training camp, you may have missed this article, ranking McKinney, TX as the #5 Best Place to Live in 2010. Tony, you're a member of the DALLAS COWBOYS for crying out loud. The Cowboys are "America's Team" - so move to one of THE BEST CITIES in America! It just makes sense.

3. YOUR MONEY! Don't forget that Texas has NO STATE INCOME TAXES! You make a pretty penny, Mr. Romo. Invest it in McKinney's Historic Downtown - one of the most thriving Main Street Squares in Texas! I'm sure you and Candice will LOVE all of the restaurants and shops that downtown has to offer!

4. YOUR JOB! Heaven forbid, should professional football not work out for you, McKinney experienced a 124.34% job increase from 2000-2009! Just sayin'.

5. YOUR PEEPS! The median age in McKinney is 30.8. Wouldn't you know it, you're 30, and the soon-to-be Mrs. Romo is just 24! You'll be surrounded by peeps your own age with nightlife nearby when you want it, or relaxing country surroundings if you'd rather relax on acreage or horse properties for privacy.

6. YOUR NEW DIGS! I'd be remiss not to mention the PLETHORA of real estate choices in McKinney, TX. Want a golf course lot near a TPC course? We've got it! Want an acreage property large enough to have your own practice football field? Got it. Want a gated luxury community in Stonebridge Ranch? We HAVE IT! And you know what...I also know a GREAT Realtor who'd LOVE to earn your business... *wink, wink*.
