Love-Em or Hate-Em they are still a very important part of our daily llife.
Trains that is:
Why is it everytime I go to New Braunfels, Texas I catch a train.
I sit, I wait, I'm stuck.
Oh No...here comes another one or two.
Well accept it and say thank you for trains. They are really kinda neat to watch coming and going (except when you are in a hurry to get to an inspection) or have to go to the bathroom or you are thirsty or want to get that check to the bank before they close.
Trains are an important part of our daily life and just think how it would be if we didn't have trains (Oh No...more 18-wheelers on the hiway and roadways).
So, as I sit next time waiting for a train in New Braunfels, TX or San Antonio, TX I am only going to have good thoughts and say THANK YOU FOR TRAINS.
If you are moving to San Antonio, New Braunfels Texas and need a home inspection..Carl Winters #3630 Complete Inspection Service...830-660-0131 also Phase-Inspections for new homes for TRCC. I've been in business since 1994.

Howdy Carl and Ceil
Trains sure area a good thing.
Theres your long ones, short ones, your loaded ones, unloaded one, ones taken folk's some where far away, ones that are a moven cars, trucks, oil, and even those we do not know whats on them.
Good for Trains oh yes.
Dale - We don't have trains going by here at Canyon Lake but when I go to the ranch at Dilley you can hear the trains going by all day and night. Just here the rumble rumble sound. They are coming and going across the border to Mexico.
Hi Carl (and Ceil)... I have loved trains (actually, any sort of transportation) since I was a child. I have had careers in the Automotive and Airline industries and actually even once worked part time for a services provider located in Union Station in Washington, D.C. I love traveling in Europe and Japan where train travel is so much more common as a method for travel... I just am not a big fan of getting stuck waiting on them to pass when I am running late for an appointment! :)
Carl - Trains are a part of our fun/recreation for our family, too - from building them in the garage to visiting exhibits to riding them.
Steve - Thanks for stopping by. Infact, I think I responded to one of your blogs while I was waiting for the train to pass. That made me think to write this blog. Don't mind them but when yourin a hurry you are absolutely stuck.
Karen - Trains have a played a big part in building this country. They just keep chugging along carrying "whatever" from place to place.
Hi Carl, I have always loved trains too. Sure hate to sit and wait for one to go by when I'm trying to get to an appointment though. Don bought a Christmas train set (off of Ebay). He's getting ready to start laying out the track on some plywood and we'll add some hills, tunnels, trees, houses, etc. to it. We're planning to put it in the corner where the Christmas tree goes and then put the tree in the middle with the train going around it. I'm looking forward to arranging the house and stores for the village. :)
Carl, I really like trains too. I have been fascinated by them since I was a child. I still find that as an adult I sometimes count the cars like I did many years ago. We have lots of trains that go our city - from the very busy ports near Los Angeles going east and I think to myself I'd rather wait for the trains that add all those truck containers behind semis and put them on the roads.
Judi - Trains are fascinating. You need to come to N.B. in April when they have the Train Show at the Chamber Office Convention Center.
Vicki - Like Judi I like trains but when I'm in a hurry I get inpatient. It's hard to explain to someone that you caught a train and that is why you are late. Sometimes they just sit there and don't move and I wonder why the hold up. Just need to plan ahead when I go to New Braunfels, TX.
I get caught by those trains, and my husband is late to work in San Marcos sometimes, too! But I love the sound of a train whistle at night. It lulls me back to sleep.
Cheers,
Robin
Robin - We don't have any train tracks around where we live. The only thing we here is sirens and the airlife helicopter coming in to pick up an accident patient. I think I would prefer the train. Thanks for adding me as an associate.
Carl,
Sharon and I often talk about how taking a short train trip could be fun. That is going to be one of my new short term goals.
Richard - Be sure to put that on your list of things TO DO. I would think it much fun and inexpensive and a chance to see things you may not see otherwise. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
