We are all thinking about Turkey dinners, but bad guys are already Christmas shopping and YOU are the target! There are some things you can do to keep yourself and your family safe.

1. If at all possible, don't shop after dark. If you do decide to shop after dark, please take an adult family member with you or a friend. There is safety in numbers.

2, Don't load your arms with bags or boxes. Make several trips to your vehicle and put packages into the trunk.

3, Don't carry large amounts of cash. You may be in the bad guy's sights as you pay for your items.

4. If you feel the least bit insecure when walking to your car, ask a security guard to walk with you.

5. Have your keys in your hands before you reach your vehicle. Never put your head down to search through your purse for your keys. This one mistake can make you an easy target!
