Since it's located about 1.5 miles from my house, I have been watching Stone Hill Town Center take shape for some time now. My wife and I relish the thought of having even closer shopping options, especially since we are now expecting our fourth child and traveling time seems even more at a premium.
Currently, the only stores open are the Home Depot, Mattress Firm, and Verizon Wireless. Very soon, that will change, as Best Buy is slated for its grand opening on February 27th, with Bealls Department Store and the SuperTarget store both opening in March.
There are a handful of restaurants that are planned for the perimeter of the project, including Chick Fil-A, Jamba Juice, Panda Express (Chinese), and Schlotzsky's. Chili's was planning to place a location at Stone Hill, but this has been put on hold for now.
The development encompasses 96 acres on the southwest corner of 45 and 130 (both toll roads), and will feature over 500,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Other businesses which have already claimed space at Stone Hill Town
Center include:
Additionally, they are planning for office space on the property in the not-too-distant future. I look forward to the convenience that this will bring, along with the potential for lower property taxes in the area as more sales tax begins to roll into the city coffers.

Got your own Home Depot? You've hit the big time!
Looks like a great shopping center, open even in this economy? that must be good news
It is wierd how every plaza has the same brand name eateries and shops. I miss the old fashioned one of a kind cafes and shops. Perhaps people are just creatures of habit:)
Jason,
It looks as though you will be enjoying yourself at the new mall with all of the stores that are coming to town.
Jason, it looks like the shopping center will have an excellent location. Do you think that there will be a hotel eventually built there?
I know that this is pure localism, but it sure looks like it'll be something great. Good luck.
Hi J !
I have a very similar Shopping Center going up by me - (Chuck E Cheese and all :o) - so I know the excitement you are going through ! --- Ours includes a Huge Target, and a Whole Foods !
...but it doesnt have a fancy fountain like yours ;o)
Cheers Jason !

Ok. I can't even get my tongue around "Pflugerville". I need the phonetic version.
Hopefully this will create a great deal of employment, especially in these harder times.
Jason, very nice rendering. I love stuff like this...looks like your economy is doing alright! ;-) Having shopping so close is very cool. ;-)
ELLIE - It's pronounced FLOO-gur-ville.
Jason -- this is great news -- it looks like businesses still have faith in the economy. Looks like a good array of businesses.
According to two reports, 24 Hour Fitness has canceled plans at Stone Hill.
Also, I doubt WAMU will be there since there's already a Chase at FM 685 and Pfennig Ln. Chase bought WAMU after they had planned on opening at Stone Hill.
It looks like you bought in the right neighborhood. My nearest store is over 15 miles away and then it isn't even called a store but a station.
Cheers to city life.
Looks nice... kinda like the new town center in Bee Cave.
