Wow! I think the City of Richardson has really out done itself with the 2009 Wildflower Festival! There was a great lineup of bands again this year including Hoobastank, Kool & The Gang, Rick Springfield, Edgar Winters Band and the Toadies. I became an instant fan of Robert Randoph & The Family Band. They totally rocked out young and old, black and white, cowboys and hippies! It was truly an awesome sight to watch the older cowboy gettin' down next to the "new generation" flower child to the soulful eclectic sounds that Robert Randolph delivered! Is Texas great or what! My favorite though had to be Kansas! What a show they put on! Close your eyes and it's 1974 again! The harmonies still brilliant, the old songs still ring true and the newer stuff bloody fantastic!
