Is There Only One Real Estate Investment Seminar?

I wasted three hours earlier today going to David Lindahl's "Riches in Real Estate" seminar! Wasted because it's almost word for word the same pitch made famous by Carlton Sheets with a little bit of Ron La Grand, to catch every one. There were about 90 seconds when I thought we were going to hear some Kawasaki, but I don't think they read his book beyond the dust cover.

The presenter was good, just a good-ol-boy from Georgia, With a sobs to riches story. Born poor, married young 4 quick kids, divorced, found real estate with Lindahl's help, remarried, 6 more kids!

Of course he's now a full time investor, so he can spend more time with his family. A full time investor who travels the country putting on two dog and pony shows a day for weeks at a time.

One original moment occurred when the speaker ask us to close our eyes and picture our cash flow after we took their course. It felt like a revival meeting! I was waiting for the pastors to come and pick our pockets as it went on and on, a "sea of green" would not have surprised me.

They lost me at the beginning when promoting lease-options, a local REALTOR pointed out there are some major legal problems here in Texas, but the presenter walked over to the man and in a loud whisper told him that if he'd take the course they'd teach him "how to get around the law!" (There are ways to comply with the law, but get around it sounds like very poor, very dangerous advice.)

Is There Only One Real Estate Investment Seminar? Of course the course was discounted by half if you bought on the spot, with out time to think about it or research it. I'd really like to know how many people ever buy these thing at full price with out the bonuses.

There is so much the public and the agents need to know, but these programs seemed designed only to part a fool and his money while making him feel good about it for 30 to 90 days. Is There Only One Real Estate Investment Seminar?

Then there was the "Quick Start" book and CD included if you bought today. It even looked like Sheet's and the contents sounded like they were copied. Is There Only One Real Estate Investment Seminar?

Just to add further insult! Their letter said: "Remember to claim my book ... and my CD... Free at the end of the event" There were only 7 copies, given away in the middle of the program to those who could reach the back of the room first. At least it wasn't like RW's they promised a digital camara then your got a certificate in titling you to a free one for only $29.95 S & H, if I remember right.

Is There Only One Real Estate Investment Seminar? I had high hopes yesterday when this was sent to me, I remain optimistic. But, I prefer La Grand, at least he does his own promotion. From what they said Lindahl doesn't even teach the 3 day event.
