Randy with Craftmaster contacted me a few months ago to ask for handyman work. I am a property manager so I did have a few jobs if he could submit a resume and prove he was a Galveston certified contractor, which he said was no issue. After talking with him several times this week and explaining I would be in touch as soon as a tenant contacted me he called after 7 PM on a Saturday night and continued to call until I finally went to call him back to explain my property management office hours in a nice manner. He called me names I cannot repeat and said he worked 7 days a week so he would call at any hour. I told him he sounds like he may need to find someone else to work with. Then I received very dirty and ugly text messages followed by a harassing phone call. I put my husband on the phone and called us both names I cannot repeat and said he would come find our family.
I just want other agents and Galveston residences in this area of the incident.
I hope this helps people understand to really research their contractors. Its scary out there after such a devastating event like Ike.
Be sure to check with the Better Business Bureau when interviewing any contractor as well.
Best wishes,
Christina
